Niagara Falls, N.Y. – The Merrimack College men's basketball team concluded their Western New York swing with an 80-62 victory over Niagara University on Sunday afternoon.
Adam "Budd" Clark and
Devon Savage both had a game-high 18 points in the victory.

- Sean Trumper started the scoring for Merrimack with a layup. After a Purple Eagle bucket, Matt Becht scored in the paint to put the Warriors back up two. Seven minutes into the game, Merrimack was up four after a David Murray layup. Murray then added a hoop at the rim. Trimper then hit his first three of the afternoon to put the Warriors up nine. Savage hit his first three of the game to put Merrimack up nine with eight minutes to play in the first half. Two minutes later, Savage found the bottom of the net with another three to swell the lead to 12. The Warriors were up 11 with three and a half minutes to play in the first half. Savage then hit threes on three straight offensive possessions to put Merrimack up by 20. The Warriors would head into the locker room up 19.
- Five minutes into the second half, Niagara had the lead cut down to 11. A tip in by Murray got the lead up to 12. The Purple Eagles battled back to get the lead down to nine. The Warriors then went on a six-point run to got up by 15. Murray banked one in with seven minutes left in the game to put Merrimack up by 17. Clark knocked down a jumper and Becht hit a three to give the Warriors their biggest lead of the day at 21 points. The Purple Eagles would not make a run at the lead. The Warriors would win the game by 18 points.

- Murray finished the game with 12 points and six rebounds.
- Trumper finished the game with 16 points.
- In addition to his 18 points, Clark had nine assists and four rebounds.
- The Warriors shot 54% from the field and 92% from the free throw line in the win.
