Burlington, V.T.—The Merrimack Warriors Men's Hockey team scored the game's opening goal but were defeated by the Vermont Catamounts by a score of 4-1 at the Gutterson Fieldhouse on Saturday night.

Merrimack jumped out to the early lead as
Ty Daneault would be left alone in front to score a powerplay goal just 2:32 into the contest.
In the second period, Vermont found the back of the net three times to take a 3-1 lead into the second intermission.
The Catamounts would connect on an empty netter with four minutes left to finish out the contest.
