Score: Merrimack 4, VCU
Records: Merrimack (0-4, 0-0), VCU (3-2, 0-0)

Rapid Recap
Tyghe Healy started it off on the mound for Merrimack and it looked as if he was going to have one of those days. He made quick work of the first two batters before errors plagued the Warriors and VCU tacked on three runs in the opening inning. Merrimack was unable to bring any runners across home plate through the first three innings even after a one out triple from Braydon Dolbashian. It was in the third when the Warriors got blitzed by the Rams. VCU would score six runs and put the game on ice after just three innings with a 9-0 lead. Merrimack would do an overhaul of the lineup bringing in some new faces, among them was Cam Marshall, Brooks Craigue, and Logan Castellano. Marshall would knock in the first run for the Warriors in his first ever college at bat. Castellano and Athanasiadis would both get on base with a double and single respectively. However, the Warriors would not have enough fire power as they would end up dropping the first game of the series by a score of 12-3.
