Opening day lacrosse in North Andover. There aren't many things better than that and the Warriors made sure to put on a show. It was
Kasey Mongillo getting the party started for Merrimack with a goal five minutes into the game to tie it up at one a piece.
Trace Hogan would score a man up goal to take the first lead of the game for Merrimack. The first half ended with a tight score of 6-4, Merrimack in front. The second half started with a bang. The Warriors would score 5 straight goals to open up the third quarter. The floodgates were opened after a pair of
Jack Kolbe tallies, a
Lucas Gauch score, as well
Karl Sutter and
KJ Delane goals. With the Warriors ahead by seven at 11-4, they never looked behind and coasted to a 14-10 opening day win to put them in the win column to start the year.
