Rapid Recap
Merrimack traveled into the hawks nest as Wagner was soaring with a 8-1 NEC record coming into this series. The Warriors were looking to do just about everything to put a stop to the hot start to conference play for the guys in green. Early on Andrew Heffernan did his job on the mound pitching three scoreless innings to start. In the fourth the Seahawks would jump on the righty going for three runs before adding a fourth in the fifth inning. The Warriors did not get much of anything going on offense as they were shutout through five innings before striking for two in the 6th. Wagner would have an insurance score in the 7th to go up 5-2 and would keep that lead going into the ninth. Merrimack's last gasp was more than a gasp as they were able to score two runs from a Christian Scanlon homer. Even with the game being a 5-4, MC was unable to add anymore and push the game to extras falling 5-4.

In game two it would be the lefty vet on the bump, Tyghe Healy. Healy, while getting himself into a couple of jams, kept a scoreless sheet through the first two innings and only gave up three earned runs through 5.2 innings pitched. Merrimack wouldn't score their first runs until the fifth when they bombarded Wagner's starting pitcher with five straight hits scoring three runs to take a 3-1 lead. In the sixth it would be more of the same as Alex Haba secured his fifth homerun of the year to make it a 5-1 game. Wagner would quickly respond with two runs charged to Healy before Dawson Logie was able to come in and shut the door having a spotless 2.1 IP to bring it to the ninth. In the ninth Merrimack held a 6-3 lead and wanted to add some insurance scores to the total. They would do that, scoring two runs to make it 8-3 leading MC to the bottom half of the ninth. In the last half inning Jack Collins came in to secure and win. He went 1-2-3 sitting down each Wagner batter he faced to give the Warriors the win.
