Rapid Recap
Merrimack went into this game looking to rely on the backs of their bullpen as they do in most midweeks. Flynn Howard would be the first of nine pitchers on the mound for Merrimack. Nothing came across for the Crusaders in the first and that led right into the first Warrior batter of the evening in Christian Gemelli. He would deliver a lead off home run shot to give the Warriors a 1-0 boost. Merrimack would add another in the first to make it 2-0. Holy Cross would score their first run in the second inning to cut the Merrimack lead in half. In the bottom of the 2nd Christian Scanlon would single in a run and in the third the Warriors would add to their lead. Dolbashian and Bond both hit towering homers to bring the lead to 5-1 through three innings. The Crusaders tacked on a run in the fourth to draw a bit closer but it would be the Warrior bullpen holding down the fort for the next four innings between Colby Barker, Damon Fuller, and Owen Zadrozny. In the 7th, Dolbashian continued his big day with a two RBI single and Samuel Sherman was able to drive in another run right behind that. Michael Bradshaw was able to come into the ball game in the ninth to close it out with the 8-2 lead. He gave up two runs but was able to get out of the jam and lead Merrimack to a win, 8-4.
