Rapid Recap
Christian Scanlon's bat has not seemed to quiet down this week as he demolished a baseball in the first inning for his third homerun in as many games.
Matthew Chatelle would add to the Warriors lead in the second inning with a two run shot of his own. Norfolk State would score the next two runs of the game in innings three and four. That would lead into the Warriors 7 run fifth inning. Runners continued to get on base and the scores piled on for Merrimack as they built a 10-2 advantage. A three run bottom half of the fifth for the Spartans sliced the MC lead to just five runs. In the sixth inning they would score three more runs and all the sudden it was a 10-8 ball game. In the seventh Merrimack would add two insurance scores and no runs would come out of the home side for the next two innings as weather forced an end to the game after the 8th inning.
