ANDOVER, MA – The Merrimack College Baseball team completed a sweep of FDU.
Frankie Ferrentino supplied the power hitting three homeruns and racking up seven RBI's.

Merrimack wanted to bring out the brooms and go for their sixth straight win. In the first inning,
Frankie Ferrentino hammered a ball over the fence for a two run shot to make it 2-0. FDU would score two in the 3rd to tie it up at two apiece. Merrimack would load the bases up in the 5th and Ferrentino would step to the plate. The thundering bat of Frank would work like a charm once again. He crushed another one to left center field for a grand slam to put the Warriors ahead 6-2. On the other side,
Brayden Ryan would continue to dice up batters on the mound going 5.2 IP with 7 strikeouts before
James Borsari and
Tyghe Healy would come in for him. In the 7th Ferrentino would step to the plate once again. Fireworks it would be as he smashed his third homerun of the afternoon, a solo shot, to make it 7-2 MC.
Cavan Brady added another RBI in the 7th and
Chris Goode tacked on two more with his first career homerun at Alumni Field and second of the year. Merrimack would go on to complete the sweep with a massive 10-3 win over the Knights.

The Warriors will have their final two midweek games when they play Bryant and Dartmouth this upcoming week.
