North Andover, M.A.- The Merrimack College Warriors women's soccer team was victorious in their home opener, as they scored two unanswered goals after falling behind to defeat the Bryant Bulldogs by a score of 2-1 on a humid Sunday afternoon.

Merrimack (2-2-1), Bryant (2-4-0)
- Bryant would get on the board first, scoring in the 34th minute off of a forced turnover, but the Warriors wouldn't trail for very long as just over a minute later after sustained pressure in their offensive area, Lauren Boughner would force a turnover of her own, take a touch and bend the shot into the top left-hand corner to tie the game at one.
- In the second half, Merrimack would control play and take their goal early as Caleigh Christensen would win a header to Julia Ostermann who would pick out a fantastic pass to Jillian Golden who applied the cool finish to go ahead with the eventual game winning tally.
Notes and Numbers:
- Lily Morgan notched win number two with an eight save performance.
- Lauren Boughner's goal was her first as a Warrior.
UP NEXT: The Warriors stay at home to face the University of New Hampshire Wildcats on Wednesday, September 4
th. Kickoff will take place at 7 PM.
