Emmitsburg, M.D.- The Merrimack College Warriors Men's soccer team were defeated by Mount St. Mary's Mountaineers in their MAAC conference play opening contest by a score of 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half, the Mountaineers got on the board first, heading home the opening goal two minutes into the half.
Merrimack would get the equalizer 12 minutes later as
Herman Rugland slotted home a free kick.
The Mount however would score the winning goal with 12 minutes to go to win the contest.
