How It Happened
Merrimack was looking to avenge a season opening loss to UMass Lowell as they traveled to play the Danes. Just over a minute into the game UAlbany would score their first of the game. Two minutes later they would add another. The Danes would score two more times in the first quarter to take a 4-0 lead over the Warriors. In the second quarter Merrimack continued to struggle offensively as UAlbany continuously put the pressure on goalie Isabelle Gardiner and the entire back line of the Warrior defense. The Danes added two more goals to go up 6-0 heading into the halftime break. The home team would cap off their win over MC with two more goals in the third before a scoreless fourth quarter. Merrimack now drops to 0-2 as they look ahead to a pair of games next weekend.
