BOSTON, MA The Merrimack College Women's Track and Field team competed in the Flagship Invitational hosted by UMass Amherst at the Track at New Balance on Sunday.
How it Happened
- Jahaida Gabriel took home third place in the women's 60m dash with a personal best time of 7.71. Gabriel also competed in the women's 200, notching 13th place with a time of 25.85.
- Ava Mahoney produced a top-five finish in the women's mile, racing 5:03.77 for fourth place.
- Merrimack's Isabella Tomic finished eighth in the women's 400m dash with a time of 1:01.87.
- Sydney Connolly produced a 200m time of 26.03, good for 16th place.
- Madison Cote was the first Warrior to cross the line in the women's 3000m run. Cote finished in 10:31.25 for 19th place.
- In the field Merrimack found success in the weight throw as Makayla Champagne tossed for 14.86m (48' 9") for fifth place. Champagne also competed in shot put notching 12th place with a mark of 10.52m (34' 6 ¼).
- Riley Paskow secured 12th in long jump with a mark of 5.15m (16' 10 ¾").
- Lauren Boughner produced a top-10 finish in women's triple jump with a mark of 10.54m (34' 7").
