LOUDONVILLE, NY. – The Merrimack College women's basketball team was beaten on the road by Siena on Saturday afternoon.
Thalia Shepard led the Warriors with 16 points in the loss.

The Warriors played the Saints in Loudonville for the lone matchup between these two programs in the regular season. The first quarter the Warriors and Saints duked it out defensively forcing turnovers on one another. Merrimack trailed by five, 17-12, heading into the second quarter. In the second, each team turned it up offensively.
Thalia Shepard was excellent scoring at will during the frame. At the half, Siena was still leading, 36-28.
To start the second half, Siena went on a scoring run, going up as many as 21 points. An 11-2 burst in response from the Warriors made it a close game and forced a Saints timeout with the score 56-44 Siena. Merrimack let up just two points in the final minutes of the third quarter as it was a 58-44 ball game going into the fourth. In the final 10 minutes, Siena went on yet another run to put the game out of reach as the Warriors would go on to lose 79-57.
