Boston, MA.- The Merrimack College women's ice hockey team battled hard but were defeated by the Northeastern Huskies by a score of 4-0, at their final regular season game they'll play at the Matthews Arena
on Friday night.
Merrimack (6-15-3, 3-12-3): 0, Northeastern (16-8-1, 12-6-1): 4
Merrimack carried the lion's share of play in the first period but they would give up a late powerplay that Northeastern scored on to take the lead in the final two minutes.
The Huskies struck again, just two minutes into the second period, which was the only goal of the period.
Northeastern tallied their third goal of the game five minutes into the third period, and added another at the halfway point of the third, shorthanded.
