NORTH ANDOVER, MA -- The Merrimack College Men's Soccer team scored four times in the first half and held on to take a 4-3 win against the St. Peter's Peacocks on Alumni Day at Martone-Mejail Field.

Merrimack (4-6-1, 2-3-0), St. Peter's (3-7-1, 1-4-0)
Merrimack scored the opening goal just past the 20 minute mark as
Salvatore Zani recorded his first of the season. The Warriors doubled the lead when
Adam Abdelaal finished a one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Moments later,
Nicolo Vallocchia won and converted a penalty kick to put Merrimack up 3-0. The Warriors added their fourth goal late when
Keller Cassidy's shot found it's way in on a deflection to give the hosts a big lead through the opening 45.
In the second half St. Peter's got on the board with a penalty kick of their own and tallied once again five minutes later on a free kick. The Peacocks scored a third time off of a corner kick in the final seven minutes but the Warrior defense didn't allow another shot on goal the rest of the way and secured the win for Merrimack.
