NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Merrimack fought hard at home but fell just short against Maine in a close 20–13 loss.
Quarterback Ayden Pereira led the offense with 129 passing yards and a touchdown, completing 14 of 19 passes, and added 131 yards on the ground — including several key scrambles that extended drives. His 26-yard touchdown connection to Seth Sweitzer late in the first quarter tied the game 7–7.
Kicker Carlton Thai went 2-for-4 on field goals, hitting from 46 and 34 yards, while Mike Ryan contributed with a 65-yard punt and averaged 48.5 yards per attempt.
The Warriors' defense put up a strong showing, holding Maine to just 13 points through three quarters. DJ Frazier led Merrimack with 10 total tackles, while Kamden Wyatt snagged an interception in the second quarter to help keep the team in the game.
Despite racking up 329 total yards — nearly matching Maine's 400 — Merrimack couldn't convert in the red zone late. Maine capitalized on momentum, driving 62 yards for the go-ahead touchdown that sealed the win.
