Doucette has 42 Save Effort Against Brown

Providence, R.I.—  Adreanna Doucette had 42 saves in net for the Merrimack College women's ice hockey team in a matchup at Brown University on Sunday afternoon.

Merrimack (2-4-1): 0, Brown: 1 (2-0-0)

Doucette made 15 saves in the first period and six more in the second to keep the game scoreless in the first forty minutes of the contest.

After killing off two penalties earlier in the game, Brown scored the game winner on their third powerplay of the day, which would stand following a lengthy review. Merrimack went on their first powerplay in the final minutes but couldn't send the game to overtime.

 
Notes and Numbers:

·       Adreanna Doucette made 42 saves, her second consecutive start making 40+ saves.

·       Neely Hawn and Avery Anderson led the team in blocks with four.
