NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College Women's Volleyball team defeated the Manhattan University Jaspers this evening by a score of three sets to one. It was a team effort that included two Warriors putting up double-doubles to help them grab the MAAC win.
The Warriors got back into the win column this Friday after getting 12 kills from
Mckenna Shotwell and 11 from
Aubrey Baker.
Sophia DeBonis and
Lilly Konrad went off for 20+ assists each while
Marissa Kobelski added on 3.5 total blocks.
Ella Gizmunt and
Morgan Thurlow both fired eight kills for the Warriors in their dominant victory over the Jaspers.
Stats and Facts
- Mckenna Shotwell added her second straight double-double which brings her season total up to 7
- Sophia DeBonis' 24 assists and 12 dig effort was her 7th double-double of the year
- Three Warriors recorded double digit digs (Shotwell, Maldonado, DeBonis)
- Lilly Konrad posted 20 assists with 6 digs and 2 kills
- Morgan Thurlow totaled 10.5 points with 8 kills and 2.5 blocks
The Warriors are home again for more MAAC play this Saturday. Game time is set for 3pm against the Gaels of Iona.
