Field Hockey Defeated by Central Michigan

Worcester, Mass. - The Merrimack field hockey team fell to Central Michigan on Sunday morning in a neutral site matchup at the College of Holy Cross.

How It Happened
After a scoreless opening quarter, Central Michigan broke through midway through the second. At 24:28, Hailey Bainer opened the scoring off a pass from Annabelle Cotroneo to give the Chippewas a 1–0 lead. Less than a minute later, Mora Rulli doubled the advantage, finishing a feed from Bainer to make it 2–0 heading into halftime. The Chippewas extended their lead early in the third quarter when Mallory Camryn tallied an unassisted goal at 35:20. In the fourth, Peyton Pallman found the back of the cage twice in just over a minute — first at 56:07 from Camryn's setup, then again at 57:24 — to secure the 5–0 result.

Notes and Numbers
Darla Mahoney led the team in shots with three, including one of goal.
Isabelle Gardiner finished the game with nine saves.
Jade Shabo had two shots on goal for the Warriors.
