Buffalo, N.Y. — Merrimack Men's Soccer got a goal from Salvatore Zani in a hard fought battle in their final road game of the season against Canisius on Saturday afternoon.
Merrimack: 1, Canisius: 2
Canisius scored the game's opening goal in the first 10 minutes and they would add an insurance marker in the 78th minute. Merrimack gained a lifeline when they won a penalty kick off the kickoff just 26 seconds later, as Zani scored his second goal of the season. The Warriors would have a few more shots after that but couldn't draw the game level.
