North Andover, Ma. --Merrimack Men's Hockey continues conference play as they take on the #15 Providence Friars this weekend starting with a road game on Friday at 7 PM before coming host to Lawler Arena to host at 6 PM. Both games can be seen on ESPN Plus.
Merrimack hung tough with the #13 Boston University Terriers in their home and home last weekend, taking a point in overtime in a 3-2 loss last Friday and nearly overturning a three goal deficit the next night in a 5-4 loss on Saturday. This set of games are the Warriors final conference matchups in the month of November before they close the month against LIU, Notre Dame and Dartmouth.

Trevor Hoskin and
Justin Gill combined for several goals last weekend against Boston University, As a trio, they have scored 45% of Merrimack's goals so far this season. (10 of 22) and 36% of the team's total points (21 of 57). Hoskin is on a three-game point streak and leads the team in assists and points with six and eight respectively, Lalonde currently is the team's leader in goals with five and sits second in points with seven, and Gill scored both of the lines goals last week and sits third in points with six. Benny Yurchuk had a memorable weekend against Boston University as he scored his first two Merrimack goals, scoring one each on Friday and Saturday.

Hunter Mayo pounded home his first Warriors goal this weekend with a powerplay strike against Boston University on Saturday night.
About the Friars
Providence enters the weekend ranked #15 in the nation after taking four of a possible six points against UConn last weekend with a 4-1 win on Friday and a 2-2 tie (shootout loss) on Saturday.
Recent History
Providence took both games the two times they played last season winning by 3-2 and 2-1 scores, but in the last 10 games the two teams have played it's an even 5-5 split.
Caden Cranston had three points last season (2 goals, one assist),
Seamus Powell has also scored against Providence while
Ty Daneault, and
Caelan Fitzpatrick have had assists.
