Women's Hockey Ready To Face Northeastern This Weekend

North Andover, Ma. --Merrimack Women's Hockey heads to Matthews Arena for the final time this weekend starting with a road game on Friday at 7 PM before coming host the Huskies to Lawler Arena to host at 1 PM. Both games can be seen on ESPN Plus.

Last Time Out
Merrimack continues conference play this weekend after getting swept by Holy Cross with both games finishing with scores of 2-1.

Merrimack junior forward Emma Pfeffer had a very solid opening month as she sits atop of the points charts through the first 12 games of the season, with four goals and four assists for eight points. All four goals that Emma has scored this season have been on the powerplay.

Top Pair
Through the opening 12 games, defensive partners Maggie Kime, Hailey Eikos are tied with six assists each, which is the team lead in the category, they both assisted on Kerttu Lehmus's goal on Saturday night.

Adreanna Doucette sits fifth in conference in both saves with 288 and fifth in minutes played (523:07). She's made 25+ saves seven times, 30+ saves five times and made 40+ saves in a game three times.

Hello again
Two members of the Merrimack Women's Hockey Team were a part of the Northeastern Huskies last season as Mady Cipolla and Avery Anderson get set to face their former team this weekend. Mady Cipolla played three games for the Huskies, and has two goals and two assists for four points in 12 games so far this season. Avery Anderson is the other member of the Warriors who played for Northeastern, suiting up for 19 games, scoring twice. Anderson has also played 12 games this season with two goals and five assists for seven points.


Emma Pfeffer and Solveig Gisler have scored against Northeastern in the past and Gisler and Maggie Kime has picked up an assist against the Huskies. Merrimack is playing their final game at the Matthews Arena this weekend, and they looking for their first win there since October 28th 2016.
