GAINESVILLE, FLA - Freshman Kevair Kennedy continued his impressive rookie run this Friday scoring 14 points, but the reigning national champions held strong for an 80-45 victory.
Kennedy shot 50% (4-8) from the field during the night's contest against the Gators. The Philly native hit 6-8 free throws to bring his point total up to 14 on the night. Kennedy has now scored double-digit point totals in his 5th of 6 games.Â
Sophomore Tye Dorset also hit double digits in the points column scoring 10. The guard also caught five balls off the board to add onto his night. Forward Todd Brogna hit his only shot of the night for three. The junior snagged a team leading six rebounds and two assists.Â
Andres Marrero was 3-8 from the field with 7 points on the night.Â
The Warriors will take a week off for the holiday but get back into action next Friday. The Cathedral Classic in Philadelphia will open up against Penn, followed by Hofstra on Saturday, and La Salle on Sunday.
