NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — Merrimack Men's Soccer celebrated their senior day as they played their season finale on a cool rainy Wednesday night at Martone-Mejail Field.
Merrimack: 2, Quinnipiac: 3
Merrimack opened the scoring with the only goal of the first half as Nicolo Vallocchia's long shot off a turnover was drilled into the bottom corner. Alec Pettit made four saves in the half including a sprawling tip with his right hand over the bar to keep the Warriors ahead.
Quinnipiac would take the lead with three goals in six minutes but Merrimack got a lifeline when Bor Zunec's corner kick found the head of Archie Day to cut the lead to one, unfortunately the equalizer wouldn't come in the final minutes.
