NORTH ANDOVER, MA – Benny Yurchuk and
Justin Gill both scored in the first period as the Merrimack men's ice hockey team faced the Boston University Terriers on Friday night at Agganis Arena.
Merrimack: 2, #12/13 Boston University: 3
Boston University would strike first but they would only hold that lead for three minutes as
Ty Daneault caused a turnover and picked up the only assist as he found
Benny Yurchuk whose top shelf shot and first goal as a Warrior tied the score.
Merrimack took the lead shortly after as
Parker Lalonde held the puck on the boards before slipping it to
Trevor Hoskin who knocked it to
Justin Gill for the go-ahead tally.
After a scoreless second period, the Terriers leveled the score in the final three minutes and won the game in overtime.
