BOSTON, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's lacrosse team fell to the Boston University Terriers by a score of 6-17 on Wednesday evening.

Brooke Brennan was quick to get things rolling for the Warriors, netting her first career goal off a pass from
Lindsay Atkinson just two minute into play. The Terriers would answer with four straight goals to go up 4-1 at the end of one. The Warriors remained determined, as
Lindsay Atkinson found the back of the net to cut the deficit to two. BU scored off a free position attempt and then buried two more to extend their advantage, 7-2. The Warriors best chance came off a successful draw control, as
Kaitlin Roche registered a shot on net, but unfortunately Natalie Aiosa was there to make the save. The Terriers scored four more goals to go up nine at the half. In the third quarter,
Sophia Ingenito netted one between the pipes less then a minute into play. BU continued their scoring run with five goals, one being a woman up.
Abby White secured a critical ground ball that nearly broke the score drought as the Warriors tallied three shots on net in under a minute. Merrimack would carry this momentum into the fourth quarter, as
Hailey Schnider scored off a pass from Atkinson. Atkinson would set up another score for the Warriors as
Allison Lamphere put one through the cage with just under 6 minutes left in play. BU scored to balloon their lead to 17. Atkinson answered right back with a goal of her own however ultimately this wasn't enough to overcome the Terriers first half fire.
