Lindsay Atkinson was quick to fire back, converting on a free position attempt to tie things up. Presbyterian scored two more goals, one off a free position to take a two-point lead. Atkinson would convert on her second free position shot to keep things close. With 20 seconds remaining in the quarter, Brooke Brennan slotted the equalizer. Merrimack opened second quarter action with three unanswered goals. Kaitlin Roche set the momentum converting on her first free position attempt. After a successful draw control, Allison Lamphere slotted one through the cage. Hailey Schnider capitalized off a lost ball, scoring to top off the 3-0 run. Presbyterian would score two straight, however Sophia Ingenito forced a Blue Hose turnover to set up Atkinson's third of the night. Lamphere extended the Warriors lead off a clean pass from Ashlyn Campbell.
In the second half, Atkinson opened scoring off her third free position attempt. The Warriors continued to dominate, keeping the ball in Blue Hose territory. With 8:30 left in the quarter, Lamphere netted back-to-back goals to put the Warriors in double figures. Atkinson converted on her fourth free position attempt to make it 12-7. Presbyterian looked to shift the momentum by opening the scoring in the fourth quarter however, the Warriors had other plans. Merrimack doubled down, igniting a 3-0 run to extend a 7-point lead. Schnider kick-started the run off a pass from Atkinson, her third assist of the night. Atkinson then netted the Warriors 14th goal and Roche rounded out fourth quarter play, scoring seconds after a yellow card on the Blue Hose.
