BUFFALO, NY. – The Merrimack College men's lacrosse team dropped their second consecutive game by one goal, losing on the road to Canisius University.

The first quarter was one to forget for Merrimack as the Griffs scored all four of the goals in the frame to go up early.
John Savino netted one to open the second quarter to get the Warriors on the board off of the
Brian Bouwman feed before a pair of Golden Griff goals in response. The Warriors then went on ferocious run scoring four goals in five minutes to make it a one goal deficit. Two more scores from Canisius made it an 8-5 game going into the half.
The second half began with a
Conor Noone goal to draw Merrimack closer. The offense was quiet for nearly 13 minutes until a
Casey Herod score. Canisius added two more before the end of the quarter to make it 10-7 heading into the final fifteen minutes. In the fourth, Merrimack scored twice within a minute at the ten-minute mark of the quarter but that would end up being all they had in the tank offensively. The defenses on both ends tightened up and no more goals we're scored in the final 9:33 of the game to give Canisius a one goal win.
