NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's lacrosse team lost to Sacred Heart in a home conference game.

The first goal of the game came from Sacred Heart before
Brian Bouwman netted the equalizer just a minute later. The Pioneers scored three of the final four goals to end the frame and take a 4-2 lead. A
John Savino goal kicked off the next quarter to tighten it up at 4-3. Sacred Heart then rattled off five straight goals to claim a commanding lead.
Brendan Harty laced one to cut the deficit to five goals heading into the half at 9-4.
In the second half, two of the first three goals came from the visiting Pio's to extend the lead. However, a late push that saw two goals in the final 30 seconds shrunk the Sacred Heart advantage to just four behind
John Savino and
Brady Covey scores. The two teams traded goals to open up the fourth quarter and then the scoring went silent until a late tally from the Pioneers to put it away, 13-8.
