Softball Wins Eleven Inning Thriller In A Doubleheader Split With Maine

North Andover, MA.-- Merrimack Softball played to a split in their doubleheader this afternoon, taking a 2-1 eleven inning thriller in game one, before falling in game two, by a score of 12-2 in five innings.

Game 1: The Warriors scored the opening run of the ballgame, as Madeline Arvai would ground into a fielders choice in the first inning scoring Ellen Hubbard and Anna Gedacht would render the Black Bears hitter helpless until the seventh allowing two hits and striking out six, but the Black Bears would scrounge the tying run on a sacrifice fly to send the game to extras.
In extras, the game belonged to Emma Prahin, as she twirled three innings of scoreless, no hit ball, striking out five.
In the eleventh, the Warriors would finally push the winning run across the plate, as Alex Miller would plate pinch runner Brandi Neil to take the victory.
