RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Merrimack College women's lacrosse lost to conference foe Manhattan by a score of 14-11 on Saturday afternoon.

Manhattan would open the scoring with back-to-back free position shots. After a successful team draw control,
Ashlyn Campbell kick-started a massive 4-0 run to put the Warriors on the board. It was then
Hailey Schnider who took the reins, converting on her first free position of the afternoon.
Lindsay Atkinson added the Warriors next two to make it 4-2. In the second quarter of play, the Jasper's netted one on the opening drive, however a Manhattan turnover would open the doors for
Kaitlin Roche to score the Warriors fifth. The Warriors continued to dominate in the second, as
Lindsay Atkinson secured her hat trick in the fourth minute. Manhattan netted one on a free position shot but Schnider would add one of her own. The Jasper's closed out the half with three more goals to gain a one-point lead.
In the third quarter, Atkinson saved a critical ground ball to set up a
Brooke Brennan goal to even the playing field. It was a defensive battle on both sides as no scoring occurred for four minutes. Manhattan would find an opening in the seventh minute and would score once more to balloon the lead three scores. The Warriors continued to battle in the fourth quarter as Atkinson netted one less than two minutes into the quarter. Manhattan would remain fierce, converting on their seventeenth free position attempt of the game.
Grace Boneu capitalized off Jasper's green card, slotting one through the cage to cut the deficit back to two. However, Manhattan's Brooke Leonard would put one through the pipes two minutes later.
Sophia Ingenito secured a ground ball to set up another Roche goal. Merrimack would register two shots on goal in attempt to cut the deficit, but the Jasper's would score once more to end the fourth 14-11.
