NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's lacrosse team fell to the Sacred Heart University Pioneers by a score of 11-2 on their senior day celebration.

It was a defensive battle on both sides as no scoring would occur until the five minute mark where
Brooke Brennan netted one off a pass from
Sophia Ingenito. Both teams continued to trade possessions in the low scoring first quarter until Sacred Heart found an opening off a free position attempt to even the playing field. In the second quarter,
Allison Lamphere recorded a shot on net that was saved. The Pioneers began to command the field as they scored five straight to extend a 5 point lead heading into the half. They continued the scoring run in the third, netting four more to make it 10-1.
Lindsay Atkinson registered a shot on net with 45 seconds remaining in the frame.
Allison Lamphere continued the run, slotting one through the pipes from Ingenito, her second assist of the afternoon. The Warriors could not come back from the second quarter Pioneer burst, falling 11-2.
