AMHERST, MA The Merrimack women's indoor track and field team concluded their final regular-season meet at the Ken O'Brien Pre-Conference Meet this past weekend, ahead of the MAAC Championships.
How it Happened I Friday April 25
- Jahaida Gabriel placed second in the 100m dash with a PR time of 12.03 seconds. Sydney Connolly finished 13th with a time of 12.52 seconds. Grace Bleyer and Madison DeCamp also cracked the top-20 finishing in 12.60 and 12.61 respectively.
- Gabriel finished second in the 200m dash, crossing the line in 24.65. Sydney Connolly finished 11th in the event with a time of 25.58.
- Lily Thomas finished runner-up in the 3000m steeplechase with a PR time of 11:17.29.
- Olivia Beaudet finished third in the 5000m run, clocking in at 18:56.45.
- In the 400m hurdles, Isabella Tomic finished seventh with a PR time of 1:06.19.
- Keira Fadden placed 20th in the 400m dash with a PB time of 1:03.36.
- Tomic captured 21st in the 100m hurdles, clocking in at 16.56 for a PR in the event.
- Allison Dove finished 30th in the 800m with a time of 2:39.25.
- Caroline White finished 32nd in the 1500m run with a PR time of 4:49.01.
- Grace Bleyer found success in long jump, registering a mark of 5.58m to crack the top-10. Lauren Boughner placed 18th in the event with a mark of 5.15m
- In javelin, Kiera O'Brien threw 20.72m to take 14th place. Jacqueline Perry also found success in the event, securing a mark of 19.82m, good for 15th place.
- The Merrimack 4x100m relay tandem of Sydney Connolly, Grace Bleyer, Madison DeCamp, and Jahaida Gabriel finished second with a time of 47.83 seconds.
How it Happened I Sunday April 27
- Merrimack also found success in the field, as Elizabeth Murphy finished third in high jump with a mark of 1.53m.
- In hammer throw, Anya Cunningham captured seventh place with a mark of 46.41m.
- Cameron Zuliani and Caitlin Garrahy finished eighth and ninth respectively in shot put. Zuliani threw for 11.52m while Garrahy landed at 11.45m.
- Makayla Champagne finished top-10 in discus with a mark of 37.12m.
