North Andover, Ma.-- The Merrimack College Warriors Men's soccer team began their season with a opening day 1-0 loss to the St.Joseph's Hawks on a late Thursday afternoon at Martone-Mejail Field.

The game's lone goal came just past the half hour mark as Saint Joseph's headed the ball into the roof of the net on a corner kick.
Nelton Semedo made two saves, including one in the final two minutes of the opening half.
The Warriors best chance came late in the second half as in the final five minutes, the Warriors won their eight corner of the game and cross found the head of
Alessandro Bedei who effort whistled just wide of the post, The Hawks were able to kill the clock from there and win the contest.
