Lowell, Mass. – The Merrimack College field hockey team suffered their first loss of the season to the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
Isabelle Gardiner made 15 saves for the Warriors.

The River Hawks struck first with a goal two minutes into the contest. UMass Lowell added another goal three minutes later to take a two-goal advantage. The River Hawks scored once more about halfway through the first quarter to go up three. The home team added a goal in the second quarter to go up four heading into halftime. UMass Lowell scored two goals in the second half to win the game by six.
