Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer Stopped by Siena

Loudonville, N.Y.   The Merrimack College women's soccer team scored first couldn't get past the Siena University Saints as they fell 3-1 on a rainy late afternoon in New York.

Merrimack: 1, Siena: 3

Merrimack (3-5-2), 2-2-0), Siena (5-2-4, 2-1-1)

After three impressive saves from Kaitlyn Brewi, the Warriors were able to flip the field and cause problems at the back for the Saints as Kyra Whitman forced the turnover and found Kylie Fuller who's shot was deflected on the bar and headed home by Bella Keogh in the 17th minute. Siena however would tie the game in the late stages to send it square into halftime.

As the intensity of the rain increased, so did the need for the go ahead goal, but it would be Siena to go ahead in the second half, with a goal twenty minutes from time and they would put the game beyond doubt in the final five minutes with their third of the afternoon.

Notes and Numbers: UP NEXT: The Warriors celebrate their senior day on Saturday, September 27th against the Quinnipiac University Bobcats at 1 PM.
