NORTH ANDOVER, MA - The Merrimack College Men's volleyball team defeated Dominican University this evening by a score of 3-1 in their home opener. The Warriors were led by Dallas Birkenbeuel who had 21 kills and Max Tkachev who had 20.
Birkenbeuel tallied 21 kills for the second time in as many games. The Chicago native posted 13 digs tallying his first double-double of his career. Max Tkachev posted 20 kills on the night. Tkachev added seven digs to go with 22 total receptions. Reece Lindstrom tallied 45 assists bringing his weekend total up to 99. Kyle Standage led the way in digs with 13 and in receptions with 26. Blake Taschner posted seven kills in the win to go with 11 digs.
The Warriors take two weeks off and then head to George Mason located in Fairfax, VA. Match time against the Patriots is set for 2 p.m.
