Lundgren Named To Richter Award Watchlist

North Andover, MA—Merrimack goaltender Max Lundgren was named to the Richter Award Watch List for the first time in his career as announced by The Hockey Commissioners Association (HCA) on Wednesday afternoon. He is also one of six Hockey East goalies to qualify for the list and one of 29 goalies in the nation. The Richter award has been given to the best Division-I goaltender since 2014. 

Lundgren, a junior from Angelholm, Sweden has started all 20 games for the Warriors so far this season, posting a 10-10-0 record with 2.63 GAA and .918 save percentage, Lundgren is also first in saves and minutes played in the conference with 583 and 1187:44. Lundgren has also made 30+ saves on 12 of his 20 starts so far.
 
Lundgren and the Warriors return home for the first time in the new year with a five game win streak as they host the UMass Minutemen on January 16th at 7:00 PM.
