NORTH ANDOVER, MA - First-place men's basketball took down the Peacocks of Saint Peter's University this Saturday 67-59. Ernest Shelton scored 21, Kevair Kennedy had 17, and Tye Dorset had 15 points.
Shelton led the way with 21 points on the afternoon shooting 50% from the field. He made all 11 free throw opportunities and came down with three rebounds and had three blocks. He played the full 40 minutes and made two 3-pointers.
Freshman standout Kennedy scored 17 points in the win and totaled four rebounds. He made nine free throws and tallied five steals in the first half tying his career high. It was his fifth straight game with over 15 points.
Tye Dorset led the way from beyond the arc splashing three triples. He was 50% from the field, scoring 15.
KC Ugwuakazi scored six points and led the team in rebounds with eight. He added on two blocks.
The Warriors take a week off before welcoming the Pioneers of Sacred Heart University to Lawler Arena. Tip off on Sunday, February 1st, is slated for 1 p.m.
