NORTH ANDOVER, MA – The Merrimack women's tennis team opens the spring season on Saturday, hosting New Haven at the Willows Racquet & Fitness Center at 12 p.m.
Saturday's match is the first of five-straight home matches to start the season.
"The team is excited to start competing again with our first match against University of New Haven," Merrimack head coach
Adam Courtemanche said. "We will have had two and a half weeks of practice to prepare for a talented team that has recently transitioned from D2 to D1. New Haven will be the first of 15 matches this semester. We are hoping to get off to a positive start."
Saturday will be Merrimack's first match since Oct. 23
rd at Assumption.
Kiana Thompson and Guilia Martins Cavalcante picked up singles wins and teamed up to win at doubles against Assumption.
