North Andover, MA—Kerttu Lehmus tallied a goal and Lauren Lyons made 27 saves as the Merrimack Women's Hockey team began 2026 against the Bemidji State Beavers on Saturday night at Lawler Arena.
After a scoreless opening period, Bemidji scored twice midway through the second period.
The Beavers registered their third in the third period, to go up 3-0. Merrimack would pepper the Bemidji goaltender and get their reward as Lehmus put home a Maria Lindberg rebound to break the shutout 3-1. McKenzie Cerrato also picked up an assist, her third point in three games.
The Warriors have a rematch with Bemidji at Lawler on Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
