NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. -- The Merrimack women's lacrosse team hits the road for the first time this season with a trip to nearby UMass-Lowell on Wednesday night.
The Warriors (0-1 overall, 0-0 in MAAC) opened their season with a hard-fought loss to Monmouth on Friday while the Riverhawks (1-0, 0-0) earned a win over Manhattan.
The match up from Cushing Field is set for 5 p.m.
Lindsay Atkinson, who was named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, will be among the key contributors on the Warriors' attack.
Hailey Schnider and Atkinson each tallied four points (two goals, two assists) in Merrimack's season-opener while
Sophia Ingenito and
Alli Lamphere contributed two goals apiece, as well.
