NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. --
Kevair Kennedy swept the MAAC awards following a pair of impressive performances during an ongoing six-game win streak for the Merrimack men's basketball team.
The Merrimack freshman guard claimed his first Player of the Week honor this season, as well as his fifth Rookie of the Week selection. It marks the first time Kennedy received both honors in the same week.
Kennedy scored a game-high 22 points (6-for-12 from the field) in an 81-56 victory over Marist on Thursday and followed up with a 24-point outing (6-for-15) in a 56-49 win over Quinnipiac on Sunday.
Kennedy and the Warriors return to the hardwood when they host Siena at Lawler Arena on Friday at 8 p.m. ET.
