ROCHESTER, NY - Merrimack College men's volleyball defeated the D'Youville Saints 3-0 for the second time this season while falling to Roberts Wesleyan 3-1.
Game 1:
Dallas Birkenbeuel excelled for the Warriors in game 1 firing his way to 18 kills.
Reece Lindstrom added 10 digs while Kyle Standage had 12.
Lindstrom led the team in assists with 33.
Both Nick Tidik and Blake Taschner put up four block assists each. Taschner tallied six kills while Tidik had 5.
Game 2:
Tidik set a season high in kills with 10, leading the team to the 3-0 victory.
Chicago native Birkenbuel had nine kills to bring his days total up to 27.
Max Tkachev led the team in assists totaling seven. He also chipped in six kills.
Lindstrom had 28 assists to bring his two game total up to 61.
Jack Johnson had four block assists while four other Warrior players had two block assists.
The Warriors are back in action next weekend for a double-header weekend matchup against Long Island University. Match time Friday and Saturday are both set for 6 p.m.
