WILMINGTON, NC - The Merrimack College baseball team starts their 2026 season against the Seahawks of the University of North Carolina Wilmington tomorrow. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. EST.
Warrior designated hitter Jack Andrews was selected to the All-MAAC baseball preseason team. After batting .333 and slugging .918, Andrews looks to continue his success in 2026.
Brooks Craigue is back in the blue in gold after batting .265 and being one of the team leaders in hits and doubles.Â
After leading the team in walks and in OBP (.420) Christian Scanlon is back on the diamond. Scanlon hit six home runs and drove in 27 RBI's.Â
Infielders Logan Castellano and Jayden Hamilton suit up for another season after both batting .250. Hamilton was a team leader in hits, while Castellano smashed 12 doubles in 2025.Â
James Nichols is back on the bump for the Warriors after starting nine games for the Warriors, and emerging victorious in two of them.Â
The Warriors suit up against a Seahawk ballclub who won 1-of-3 games against the Maryland Terrapins last weekend. Nichols started in nine games last season, emerging victorious in two.
