Qureshi Named MAAC Student Athlete Of The Week

NORTH ANDOVER, MA-- Merrimack College men's Track and Field freshman Gab Qureshi was recognized as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Student Athlete of the Week by conference on Wednesday afternoon.
 
Gab has had a fantastic start to his collegiate career taking wins in 400 meter at the Suffolk Icebreaker (48.75) and Harvard Invitational  (48.40), 600 meter (1:20.77) and 4x400 (3:24.22) at the MIT Gordon Kelly Invitational. He's also taken three other podium finishes with a second place in the 4x400 at the Suffolk Invitational (3:21.66) and in the same event at the Harvard Invitational (3:22.05) while also getting a podium in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.05.
 
Gab and the rest of his team are getting ready to compete in the MAAC Indoor Conference Championships, that will be held on Saturday and Sunday at the Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory in New York. The Meet can be seen live on ESPN Plus as well.
