FAIRFIELD, Conn. - The Merrimack College women's basketball team used a 24-point fourth quarter to claim a 62-57 victory against Sacred Heart on Thursday.
The Warriors outscored the Pioneers 24-19 in the final frame after trailing 26-24 at the half.
Madison Roman scored 22 points while shooting 57 percent (8-for-14) from the field. She finished just shy of a double-double with nine rebounds and a career-high six steals.
Paloma Garcia chipped in 10 points t(6-for-6 from free throw line) to go with five rebounds and five assists.
Se'lah Reddick and Oralye Kiefer each scored eight points. Kiefer added seven rebounds and one block, while Reddick contributed three assists.
The Warriors have won in 13 conference games, a feat only reached once in the past 21 years (2019).
The Warriors play in their final road game on Saturday against Manhattan. Tip off from Riverdale is set for 2 p.m.
