Women's Track And Field Has Strong Start In Day One of MAAC Indoor Championships

New York, NY-- Merrimack Women's Track and Field began the MAAC Indoor Championships on Saturday evening at the Armory in New York with four qualifiers for the main events tomorrow and seven event points total.
 
Marianna Collins qualified for the 1 Mile final tomorrow with a win and a time of 4:59.93, Lily Thomas also made it with a time of 5:06.49.
 
Riley Paskow and Rebecca Russalesi will compete in the 400 meter final on Sunday after a fourth and fifth place times of 57.10 and 57.44.
 
The team of Marianna Collins, Piper Testa, Caroline White and Lily Thomas picked up a podium and six competition points with a time of 12:10.01 in the 4000 meter relay.
 
Elizabeth Murphy finished eighth, collecting a point for Merrimack in the High Jump, reaching a mark of 1.55 meters
 
 
The Warriors finish the conference championships tomorrow with the event start time being 12 PM, the meet can also be seen on ESPN Plus.
