LEWISBURG, PA - Merrimack baseball is back in action this weekend for 3 games against the Bison of Bucknell University.
Warriors are coming off the Swig and Swine Classic after winning the first of three games.Â
Freshman Garrett McGovern took home MAAC honors, winning Rookie of the Week after his first four collegiate games of his career. He had a .400 batting average with four hits and four RBI's. He had a double in his first career game against UNCW.Â
Jayden Hamilton is the team leader in hits and batting average after starting the week going .500 with 9 hits.
Four different Warriors tallied their first home runs of the season (Matt DeShiro, Joey Frammartino, Chris Goode, and Christian Scanlon).
DeShiro is up to two doubles and four RBI's after a stellar start to his season last week.Â
Jack Andrews finished last weekend's tournament with three singles.
Along with his home run on Friday, Scanlon has added four RBI's during the week of play.Â
Joey Frammartino leads the team in on base percentage at .611 after drawing four walks last week.Â
Colby Barker earned the win last week in the teams first win of the season. He went 3.1 innings, allowed two hits, and struck out five batters.Â
