Women's Hockey Trio Not Enough As Warriors Fall To New Hampshire

DURHAM, N.H. — Maria Lindberg, McKenzie Cerrato and Neely Hawn all had multi-point performances, but the Merrimack women's hockey team fell 4-2 against New Hampshire at the Whittemore Center on Friday afternoon.

The Wildcats took a 3-0 lead in the opening 30 minutes before the Warriors got on the board.

Lindberg scored her third goal of the season in the second period. The Warriors scored an empty-net goal in the final minutes, as well, after McKenzie Cerrato tipped one into the top corner. Hawn and Lindberg were credited with the assists.

Merrimack celebrates its senior day Saturday when the Warriors host Providence College at Lawler Arena at 7 p.m., which can be watched on ESPN+.
